A well established department with three fully fledged Maternity and Gynecological facilities in Upper Mulago (Ward 14), Lower Mulago (5th floor), and in the Private Patients Wing (Ward 6D & E).

The department delivers about 27,000 mothers each year. It has its own dedicated theatre on the 5th floor while private patients theatre. A voluntary Surgical Contraceptive Theatre exists in Upper Mulago where the Family Planning Clinic is also located
